The story, focuses on the issue of migration when youths from rural North India come to the city of dreams, Mumbai, but are exploited. Sarju comes to Mumbai to make a living for his family, while his wife Radha stays home and tends to their family.She is more rooted and attached to her soil whereas Sarju desires and aspires to conquer the skies. He is restless and adventurous forever ready to take risks and explore newer shores in search of a new identity. The show depicts a cultural difference between rural India and the modern city and deals with various local issues such as illiteracy, caste system, gender exploitation, issues of infertility, status of women and the pain of displacement.

But Ramaiya is determined to address the workers` grievances, and he gets himself framed for theft; has the police on the lookout for him, and so Ramaiya goes into hiding.

The story of two teenage girls Gunjan and Rachna. Gunjan, a modern girl living in Mumbai, loses her very loved mother after she gets diagnosed with cancer.
